Firstly, I’d like to let you know I’ll be exhibiting at the North London Wedding Show end of this month – come meet me and peruse my albums.
Now for some shots from a recent wedding, held at the Globe Theatre on London’s South Bank, near the Millenium Bridge and Tate Modern – great locations all round! This wedding was a typical example of snatching moments for photos where I could; a chilly wind prevented keeping the happy couple outside too long… As always, the bride was beautiful, guests and venue staff were friendly and a great laugh!
The BW shot above: I waited a few seconds… then a few more… my steadfast clients were bearing up well in a cool wind – then, just for a second, there were no other pedestrians in shot.
A photo shoot from several weeks ago, hadn’t gotten round to posting. It’s not a pre-wedding or engagement shoot – they’re already married. A friend had bought them a voucher for a photo shoot with me, so we met in Richmond park. Nice day, lovely couple, great setting. Eve is a make-up artist as it happens, so get in touch if you want her contact details.
Next post will probably be some recent wedding photos – watch this space…
Recent newborn portrait session in the Wandsworth area, baby Simon was 10 days old. As I walked across Clapham Common to their house, I got the idea of using the leaves, laid on a sheet on the floor, natural light from window and skylight. I used a shoot-through umbrella for a couple of the other portraits. Click the link below for more…
The portraits in the park day this Sunday is looking good. I can still fit in one or two sessions, contact me asap if you’re interested. Just to repeat, this is partly a fundraising event to benefit the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, a very worthwhile cause.
Some recent portraits taken in Battersea Park, Wandsworth, below…
On Sunday 26 September I plan to hang out at WANDSWORTH COMMON (that’s in London UK by the way) to shoot family portrait sessions, so get in touch quick for more info and to book a slot for your portrait shoot!
Certain times of the day will be more desirable, but as it’s essentially a FREE PORTRAIT SHOOT, you’ve nothing to lose and what better way to spend a Sunday than at the park? There is a kids’ playground, cafe, ice-cream van, pond, tree-lined paths, fallen logs… London’s parks are great, aren’t they?
Instead of a booking fee I would ask you to make a donation to the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. Among other things they are fundraising for a new Children’s & Teenage Cancer Centre. I will also donate 10% or more of proceeds to this charity.
Get your family photographs for Christmas cards and gifts – needs to be done soon!
(Alternative date in case of bad weather, Sunday 3 October).
Meanwhile, here are a few family portraits from a recent visit to friends on the south coast…
Baby Ted is delightful, he was about 12 days old here. He’s now 2 months old, I saw him again on Sunday and he spent most the time chortling. How quickly they grow…
During the photo session he only peed on his doting Mum and Dad once – once each that is. Despite how tired the parents may feel (!), the first 10 days is the best time to get the newborn, eyes-closed, cute scrunched up fists & tiny toes type of photo! However, I like that look of awareness in some shots as he checks out the funny-lookin’ photographer… Guess which famous NZ photographer was part-inspiration?
Great wedding (despite the weather) at this awesome vintage airstream trailer park in the foothills of the Pyrenees, near Carcassonne. The park is a real labour of love by the owners (who also put on circus-style magic/comedy shows). Thoroughly recommend visiting BelRepayre!
Small selection of photos from a recent wedding in Germany. It was a lovely ‘Ye Olde’ town – what’s the equivalent of that phrase in German?! The wedding was at a lovely Catholic church in Hanau, and the reception at Schloss Philippsruhe, a French baroque castle.
It’s been a while…
Off to a wedding in France this weekend, some pre-wed shots of the couple inside. Shots of recent Germany wedding soon.
Meanwhile, I’ll be exhibiting at these two wedding shows in autumn, it’s a while away I know, linking to help promote them.
Queen’s Gate, Notting Hill and North London
Put it in your diary, come along and look at my gorgeous albums!
