OK, they didn’t get engaged on Valentine’s Day, but this pre-wedding shoot on Clapham Common was a few days after V Day. A very cold morning but awesome misty, hazy light!

I like winter light. You get low-angled light all day – when the sun is out that is. And it was out at just the right moments this day. A perfectly timed sunbeam illuminated the bride as she stepped from her white Rolls Royce and again when the newly-wed couple stepped from the charming […]
Here are a few of my favourites from a recent wedding. It was a real mix-of-cultures wedding, appropriate for the UK. Chinese tea ceremonies, church ceremony, then Chinese banquet. Being Church of England, I wasn’t allowed to take photos during the ceremony, but the very nice priest did allow some at beginning and end, plus […]
Newsflash! I now have a Licentiate qualification from the SWPP. I submitted a panel for mentoring, but they thought it was ready so sent it off for assessment – and it was accepted. Great wedding (despite the weather) at this awesome vintage airstream trailer park in the foothills of the Pyrenees, near Carcassonne. The park is a real labour of love by the owners (who also put on circus-style magic/comedy shows). Thoroughly recommend visiting BelRepayre!
Small selection of photos from a recent wedding in Germany. It was a lovely ‘Ye Olde’ town – what’s the equivalent of that phrase in German?! The wedding was at a lovely Catholic church in Hanau, and the reception at Schloss Philippsruhe, a French baroque castle.
